I am a Courtesan

Thank You for curing me of this ridiculous obsession with Love...Not?

The weekend spent at Robertson Quay Hotel served as a stark reminder and contrast to that of Valentine's 2003. I chanced upon on a realisation last night that I really don't give a fuck anymore. The senseless days shopping for boxers and spending Valentine's Day 2 months from the date are over. The 2 days of pure debauchery, honest sharing, bonding love and quiet comfort proved that beyond measure. While licking on my Pink Lemonade lollipop during lunch today at Mhd Sultan, I realised I was happy, even if it was for a day, so excuse me while I toast my vodka to many more to come my way.

Yes the show must go on

Bruised, blemished wrists soothed with quiet balm,
I opened myself with a quiver,
shaking loose my fear-filled cumulation,
semi-sobered by orange sleeves.

Once, twice, looming darkness whirled,
cupped between your steady palms,
pupils darting, consumed by lids,
I breathed in weary silence.

A nickel orb uncovered hidden caves
as wretched truisms sober
my opium-filled head,
your smile danced on my burdened lips.

Guarded intensity washed waves,
seeping into my pores,
spilling over your indulgence - my sin.

Inside my heart is breaking,
my make-up may be flaking
but my smile still stays on

No doubt it was beautiful, it still is.
I hope my little quiet prayer keeps myself checked.

Days Fly By

Medialaw lecture was cancelled today, I awoke, for the first time in weeks at a miraculous 8.45am, stretched and hit the remote. Cest Si Bon by Louis Armstrong played on the Hi fi as I languished in bed, contemplating about the whirl of things that happened last week.
"Can we deal with one thing at a time and not start thinking about all the other things?" - Andrea Lau at Subway when my eyes started darted hopelessly around the joint.

All I remember was seeing my shoes through the subway plastic bag and looking past the mound of tissue papers on the table to a corner at Subway. That was it. I am living in a relapse. I am dealing with it with the best of my ability. I remember puffy eyes after and trying to stuff my contacts in for a good 20 minutes. Shades are a god send.

Red wine, Apple cider, Chivas Regal and Cigars

I was happy. Period. To the people I love dearly, thank you. To the ones who lost it, hang tight. To the ones who had -ahem- shenanigans, good on you. For once, I had a good night's rest.

Dinner, Dinner, Dinner

I tire of explaining myself to people whom I see no need to. I tire of treading carefully, not misconstruing. I tire of being wanted for the wrong reasons.

Dinner, Games, Dinner

Kickass words for 2004: BAH! Humbug, Pok-pok...Hmm, I can't remember any now... Thanks for making my day happy, you crack me up.

The Supreme Being of Leisure

Thanks for the Cd, I am so happy that you've found your "Her". Its pretty since both of you are staunch...and weird-ish -hugs tight-

Its been a trying week, work is just the tip of the iceberg. I want to let my hair down and chill. Btw, presenting for All that Jazz is therapeutic.
