Its A Mad, Mad World

Oh god. -takes a moment to breathe- Alright. Things have been like a huge madhouse of late. Been messing about with the PLMC cookbook, and I am really tired. I keep praying for it to be over soon. Been in a right rotten mood during the weekend because of the lack of sleep, the weird weather, PMS and generally, not being able to do the things I want to, during the weekend. In fact, I think I will only be able to roam about as I please after Weds. I got work piled up in the office, work to do for my mum and work to do for the cookbook. Ugh. Been a huge grumpafump of late as well, so I am sorry if I've been irritatingly pissy. Heh.
Nausheen's leaving on Tuesday. Now that's a sobering moment. Went to her farewell bbq and all was nice, we ate a lot, oh god, her mum makes the most divine samosas (which I will try out when I finally have the time)Will miss her to a million bits. I had to leave at 12am though, to report back to Pat's house to do more proof reading.
On another nothe altogether...

Jolene: (Prodding a very sleepy & cold me) OEI! Wake up, Eunice, Wake up, time to go home.
Me: (murmuring curses) Huh, what now, WHAT NOW...
Jolene: Wake up, go home!
Me: (screams) REALLY? Go home? Can go home ah? Wah lau eh!!! YAY!
-pregnant pause-
Me: Aye why can go home ah.
Jolene: Because here no more space to work.
Me: So who is going home...
Jolene: Leon is dropping you guys off somewhere...
Me: REALLY AH! -sits up and claps hands- YAY, no need to take cab somemore sia!
Jolene: She's mad, I swear she's mad.
Me: -Sits up and squints while prodding face-
Jolene: Hahahhaha, look at her trying to adjust her own face...

I was so super duper happy that I could go home...am sitting at home now, but I'll be leaving for Rox's house in a few moment's time. Have yet to consume anything all day.
Been feeling a little reflective after I woke up just now. So many things are happening, and I think I need to check myself before I do anything stupid again. I've been having weird dreams about cookbooks, Nonya people and well, other people. Very disconcerting...
Anyway, I have to blog this...I've been extremely grumpy because of work and plmc and I've been pouting and feeling edgy and panicky all weekend, until I started editing the writeups just now and checking against all the bible verses quoted to make sure that they were correct. Then I read through all the favourite verses quoted by the contributors and somehow, there was a sense of comfort that settled. I know that no matter how I bitch about working for the book, its nice to see how people can be so fervent in their religion. O well, ok too much mush there. Its back to work tomorrow, let's conquer the week! -brandishes sword-

Npal and its Nasty Revelations

Yes, its probably the buzz phrase now. "Exam Results". Its 10.41am right now and today is probably the only day wherby 70 percent of mass commers wake up before noon just to check their results. I am not too pleased with my results. Not too pleased at all. I can't for the life of me understand why I got the grades for some modules. It has surpassed all my attempts at calculating and totaling all my percentages for individual assignments. O well. Anyway, did I tell you how much I hate IS? Probably not. And I do, so good luck for all you future Ngee Ann polytechnic students. IS teachers are daft, and the whole dept should be doused in some sort of lethal liquid and lit so that the people in Malaysia will go, "Whoah, its not National Day in Singapore, how come got fireworks ah?" I mean, like hello, I am sure (and I don't think I am being delusional here) but I am quite positive that we are the only ones in World Issues who have opinions instead our other (ahem) counterparts. But o well, just because I take more smoke breaks and all doesn't mean I don't churn out quality work, which I am sure they didn't read. Hahaha ok shut up Eunice, the semester is over, be thankful that you're graduating.
Back to work then...Well at least I think I should be grateful that sometime in the middle of June, I don't have to wake up at some crazy, inane hour to shout at the Napal server because I can't get my elective voting to run smoothly aye?

There are Weird People in My Office

Yes it is the 2nd day of work here and I am wondering about how funny I am. One minute I am complaining of not getting a job and now I wish I could slack at home, hit town, tan and party. But I guess its a good experience plus its money. Anyway, thanks to Gene for the interview oppurtunity. I love youus.
Anyway, talking about weirdness, I have got a Marketing Director who had Ronald McDonald red hair. Yes, its the exact hue. I keep imagining him in yellow overalls. Haha. Plus I have got a Retail manager who looks 40 but dresses like a prepubescent homosexual. Nothing against homosexuals though, I love em. But, you get my drift. Redeeming point though, he smokes! Oh yeah another thing, I don't think people in the office believe in smoking or taking smoke breaks for that matter, but they all have this habit of snaking all the time. O well.
On another note altogether, the Black Eyes Peas were OFF the HOOK! Oh man, Fergie's fucking hot man. And our local opening acts weren't that bad, actually they were quite good. I was pleasantly surprised, haha.
Anyway, I am constantly feeling paranoid because I am sitting with my back facing the general common area so I wouldn't know if anyone's creeping up behind me and reading what I type. Whoopdeedoo. I think I need an early night tonight before I really crash. Feeling hungry now...

Its All Been Good

Wassup aiight. Its been ages since I last blogged. I don't know whether to love it or not, but our lives move so quickly all the time, I thought this "fast paced-high drama-many stories" life would slow down after the CA launch but apprently not, haha.
I clubbed for the first time in a month, yeah in a month...well almost and it was quite fun. Glad I got to party a little bit since I am starting work on Tuesday. -Gasp- Yes people, I got a job and suddenly I am not too enthusiastic about starting work. O well. Its a good thing that this is a temp job so by the time my BIRTHDAY (ahem) swings round, I would have some moolah in the pocket to celebrate decently, yeah.
I remember exactly a year ago, I was fucking broke and I had to eat shit food like Maggi mee for dinner every week for quite sometime and I couldn't buy a lot of things nor do a lot of things that I wanted to, which resulted in a whole truckload of whining. Well fuck those days, haha.
Its a Sunday afternoon and I got a wedding dinner to attend later. Talking about afternoons, is it me or can I slice the humidity with a knife? Its been so hot that after I step out of the shower, I start to feel hot almost immediately. Ok enough banter about the weather.
I think I have kind of taken a timeout from everything and it feels good to be moving onto another chapter of life. I read my previous posts and it felt like I was dying. Prior to those posts were the angsty, angry, shouty posts and then the insane mellow posts followed. Its interesting how things can turn out to be so different from what you expected it to be, not a bad different, but just...different. Hmmm.
Been trying to keep healthy, was falling ill really often during the semester so now I think its really important to take care of my body from every aspect, like eating right, excercising and grooming.
All hail tomatoes and wholemeal bread. I recently discovered how good tomatoes are. Dice them, add pepper and salt and add them to scrambled eggs with a little sprinkling of olives on wholemeal toast. Yum. Perfect lunch. Hohoho. I don't normally eat breakfast, but I've been getting quite a lot of breaky as of late, hahaha. OH SHIT. I forgot to weigh myself. You see, Fifi just enlightened me a couple of days ago that her weighing machine is inaccurate, so I have to weigh myself properly. I think her weighing machine's been lying to me and I am actually like 10kg heavier...-wails- Damnit. I think I have kind of lost the blogging touch and now I am just furnishing this post with little random bits of information about how things have been after the CA launch, which is kind of boring and you know, not very "suffering-arty-depressed-angsty-writer" sort but oh well, who the hell cares.
